NUCOXIA MR contains Etoricoxib which belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It helps in reducing pain and swelling in the joints and muscles of people aged 16 years and older with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and gout. It is also used as a short-term treatment of moderate pain after dental surgery in people 16 years of age and older.

SIDE EFFECTS OF NUCOXIA MR
SERIOUS
- Shortness of breath, chest pain
- Yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice)
- Severe or continual stomach pain
- Allergic reaction which include skin problems such as ulcers or blistering, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat which may cause difficulty in breathing
COMMON
- Stomach pain
- Swelling of legs and/or feet due to the fluid retention
- Dizziness, headache
- Palpitations, irregular heartbeat
- Increased blood pressure
- Wheezing or shortness of breath (bronchospasms)
- Constipation
- Gastritis, heartburn
- Diarrhea, indigestion
- Nausea, vomiting
- Inflammation of the oesophagus, mouth ulcers
- Changes in the blood tests related to your liver
- Bruising
- Weakness and fatigue
RARE
- Confusion, restlessness
- Inflammation of the liver (hepatitis)
- Low blood levels of the sodium which can cause tiredness and confusion, muscle twitching, fits and coma
